I pressed enter on P5KR bios and nothing would happen, same with any other bios I tried. I've tried to use this at first when I treid P5K -> P5KR but I couldn't get it to work. Is there anyway I can bring my old P5K back? Problem is, this far down the line, I can't seem to find the 'engineering edition' anywhere. There is a guide where somebody documents how they did it. The result was the same with GUI ver called afuwin. In 1966 EMD introduced a new line of locomotives based on the 16-cylinder 645-series prime mover. One from the ami site would give me a slightly different error saying 'bios does not support afu.' Then I got newest from asus again and newest from ami site but both failed.
Now with the old Afudos, it gives me the same romid error. Your drive should be loaded like the image below. Download the bios rom you wish to flash to from the ASUS website and paste that to the drive. So I got out my DOS boot USB with the files on it and tried to go back. Download AFUDOS 2.36 ENGINEERING EDITION (It MUST be this version to work) and paste it on the flash drive. Now I think P5KR isn't so great at OCing and want to go back. So I got an older version and got it to work successfully. I heard that P5KR was better than P5K at OCing so I flashed it using Afudos.Īt the time, the newest version of Afudos from Asus download gave me an error that said something like 'romid does not match' and prevented bios flashing. I actually signed up a while ago but at the time for some reason I couldn't post.
